Botanical name:Arbutus unedo
This plant is either a small tree or large evergreen shrub. It has a red- brownish trunk and branches that are twisted with age. The dark green leaves have red stems. It has clusters of small, white or greenish- white, urn shaped flowers and small, red and yellow round that has a strawberry like texture from which the common name is derived. It has slow to moderate growth to15' with the same spread.
It can become damaged in severe winters.

This low mounding perennial, with fine leaves and white to pinkish daisy-like flowers, is an excellent asset to rock gardens.

Perennial grows 4-8" high with tooth-edged leaves and ornamental strawberries during the fall. Cut back or mow in early spring to encourage new growth.

Nandina domestica is a graceful upright shrub that grows from 3 to 6' in height. It gets its name from its bamboo-like growth habit. When thinned from the center it bears a remarkable resemblance to bamboo. It is best used in groups. It can be used in a shaded patio or out in a shrub border with full sun. An interesting feature of Heavenly Bamboo is the bronze color in the new growth when planted in full sun. It also bears clusters of white flowers in the spring.
